"Wine-Down" from Black Friday Shopping With These Fun Wrapping Ideas!

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and you’ve braved the Black Friday crowds to score some fantastic gifts for your loved ones. It’s time to take a breather from all the hustle and bustle, but there’s still much to do! I’m visiting again from Camp Makery with the solution! Gather your girlfriends for a wine-and-wrap party like I did with my bestie Hayley! Here are three unique and festive wrapping ideas using a few simple supplies.

Gather all of your supplies and lay them out so they are all easy to see and dig through to inspire creativity! Don’t forget the La Crema pinot noir and chardonnay, also guaranteed to inspire creativity. Here we used:

  • Brown kraft paper (available at the dollar store!)
  • Scissors
  • Tape: regular scotch tape, patterned washi tape, and clear packing tape
  • Snowflake paper punch
  • Old wine corks
  • Stamp pad
  • Paper gift tags
  • Ribbon
  • Metallic pens
  • Scrapbooking letter stickers

1. Simply Festive

You don’t need much to make your holiday gifts look gorgeous. Sometimes simple beauty is the best route. Some plain kraft paper and a great ribbon are all it takes to make a gift special, with a beautifully lettered tag to top it off!

Unless you go for satin or velvet ribbon, which look beautiful when they drape naturally, I prefer a wire-edge ribbon. They hold their shape and make your bows pop!

2. Polka Dot Perfection

Once you pop open that first bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir, don’t you dare toss out the cork! It makes the perfect polka dot stamp! I love the look of white polka dots on the brown kraft paper, and this is the most simple and mindless of activities. Perfect for when you’re suffering from post-Black Friday burnout!

To amp up the style, I added black and white polka dot washi tape and glitter scrapbooking letters in lieu of a tag.

3. Fancy Flurries

The most labor-intensive of our three ideas is also, in my opinion, the most fun! Still simple enough for even the most novice of gift wrappers, the fancy snowflake punch (available in any craft store) does all the work for you! Simply punch out a blizzard’s worth of flakes from plain white paper and sprinkle on the sticky side of clear packing tape. Then tape the strip to your kraft paper-wrapped box. Simple as that!

If you want to get really fancy you can use the strips of paper you cut the snowflakes from to add extra flair! Just lay them on the gift and seal with the packing tape on top.
