Take a Walk on the Sweet Side: Cookies and Rosé

A few years ago, Chef Tracey paired some La Crema Rosé with a delicious chèvre, but we thought it might be a fun idea to tap into our sweet side and try pairing La Crema’s dry Pinot Noir Rosé with cookies.

We all know that wine is typically paired with cheese–it’s familiar, it works, and we really like it. The Pinot Gris is great with a fromage blanc or a Camembert-style goat cheese, the Chardonnay does well with some fresh mozzarella, manchego, or even brie, and the Pinot Noir is delicious with aged cheddar or Gruyere.

But who doesn’t like cookies?

Last month, La Crema sent me a few bottles of Rosé to serve at my bridal shower in Virginia, and because this wine goes so well with light, floral flavors like rose, lavender, and strawberry, I decided to pair it with some strawberry-filled vanilla macarons.

Here are a few more ideas for cookies that would be just delicious with a glass of Rosé at your next party, or just on your own at home as you enjoy these fantastic spring afternoons:
